Hi guys, I'm trying to find a scalable version of the windscreen washer symbol: but all I seem to find online is tiny bitmaps / jpgs like the above. I've tried drawing my own in open office draw, but it looks rubbish as the individual lines of the symbol don't meet correctly where the arcs and straight lines meet at their ends for some reason, even though I have them snapping to the same grid point. Does anyone know where I can get one? Or could some kind soul take pity on me and knock one up for me? ta, Goo
It's a bit low-tech, but could you not print a stretched version of the crap one then trace and re-scan it for a neater version? I'd replicate it, but my skills aren't upto it without PS to unfudge a stretched jpeg. edit: This might work if you're shrinking it back down a bit. An awful paint job.
Thanks Krikkit. I'll see what that looks like shrunk down to the size I want it, but I just know I'll obsess over the water droplets not being round... Failing me finding something on line, can someone recomend a decent Vector editing package for the Mac?
Thanks - but Hahahahah! Visio to the rescue again! (if you remember, I used visio to do the dashboard layout way back when) Just knocked it up as a scalable vector on my work PC, saved as a variety of scalable formats and mailed home. Visio - the number 1 automotive design tool.
Illustrator is an expensive vector graphics program developed by Adobe. It is available on both Mac and PC.
Have you had a look here, they have vector format symbols you can download. EDIT - Sorry this site charges you
