Help! somae advice on paypal/ebay - have i been had?

    Just payed for an item on ebay using a buy it now paypal tab - seller says that ive sent him an echeque that doesnt clear until 14th july. What the hell is an echeque? this has never happened to me before using paypal - the money just transfers over - what are these and why have i apparently sent one? :duh:

    if you don't have a credit card linked and your bank accout is, it can transfer funding from bank to him directly, but it takes a few days to process. that's the e-check really. It shoulnd't take a week+ to clear, mine are generally three days (excl. weekends). Assuming you have a credit card linked to the account, you probably wouldn't have sent it. Check the payment log.

    When i first signed up with pay pal with just a debit card it took ages for my first transactions to clear. so he might be ok , along as he’s got good feedback + he’s actually communicated with you an not just disappeared id say your ok.

    Yo Mr Shadow_101, good to cya live n kicking on the net...

    Yeh if your worried post the item number and then ppl can give there 2 cents about the seller. Also you should be covered by eBays standard buyer protection (upto/around £100 if my memory is right).
