I'm in a bit of a bind and I need help with a project. I'm building a really small Tron themed computer And one of the main design elements is a fiber-optic light effect (the red lines). I'm building this case myself out of ABS and polycarbonate sheeting and I was hoping to setup the lighting effect with a throbber circuit to power two different colors of LEDs, but premade items are no longer available. I've had no luck finding anyone willing to sell one to me and even less luck finding someone willing to build one for me. Either I find someone willing to sell me this unit (http://www.rabidhardware.net/index.php?id=10) Or I convince someone as experienced as you to build me one of these (http://www.bit-tech.net/article/78) I'd pay for parts shipping and labor of course. Thanks for your time
I'd be happy to help, but really don't have the time to build it for you. However, would something like THIS help out in any way? No circuits to build, just throw a resistor inline with a 5v rail.
I want something subtle and slow since this machine will be on my desk or taken with me to conventions. That and I already have the LEDs I want to use.
Hooray! I got ahold of 5fame via Rabid Hardware and I'm buying one from their excess stock. Now I don't need to knuckle down and make one myself. *does happy dance
