How the hell is this on page 2 without someone mentioning Relix (Relixa for a girl)? :wallbash:

I have to give a +1 to Kai and Madeline, they're great names :)

If it's a boy for heaven's sake don't call him Tarquin unless you're planning to put him through the private education system

There's plenty of people before gorilla man who named there kids Kai... If you use that sort of logic you would find it very difficult finding a name after all the douchebags have take them :D. I did'nt even know Rooney named his kid Kai its less appealing now

So long as the middle name is "Wait for it", then the first name can be anything.

    Seriously, though, what's your surname?

If you go with a Stan Lee naming convention (First name/surname having the same fist letter), then they might turn out to be a super hero. Worth considering.

    Or mingingbollock

My daughter's called Grace (Gracie to most people) and it really suits her. Leo was seriously considered for a boy.

First off, I didn't know your Mrs was a bit-tech member Noiz! Secondy, congratulations to you both! Here are some suggestions:

    Girls

    Melody
    Louise
    Annabell/Annabella
    Ella
    Ellie
    Emily
    Zoe/Zoey
    +1 for Grace
    +1 for Lucy
    Melissa
    Hope
    Alicia
    Francesca
    Felicity
    Sophie
Ruby <- My cousin has a little girl called Ruby, after our Grandmother :)

    Boys

    Matthew (obvious suggestion :p)
    Charles/Charlie
    Craig jr? :)
    Patrick
    Ben
    Austin

That's all I got  I'm crap with boys names. If and when I have kids and if there's a boy, my wife is going to have to name him, or at least come up with names for me to pick :p

French name, pronunciation as such, always loved it, although it does belong to an ex :duh:

From reading Freakanomics, I learnt that names go in cycles of about 20 years, so names that are en vogue will become common and zeitgeist names will fall out of fashion. I prefer names which are timelessly elegant such as Aaliyah, Eliza, Rose, Melissa or something along those lines.

They may seem mundane but there is a method to the madness. The degree of commonness should be directly proportional to the amount of money you're prepared to pay for their therapy down the line. It's okay for celebs to call their children Apple, Harper Seven or Moroccan, but in the real world, that would be like tying a social anchor to each one of their limbs. I would not want to go through life with any of those names myself.
