Windows Help With Lan Party Fast Please

    my problem is when i lan up at my house and two people are playing counter-strike at the same time both of would have the worse lag ever like 1000 ! i dont know whats wrong i have a d-link router what can i do is there a solution to this problem ? thank you PLEASE HELP !

    Is there just the two of you using the internet connection? Is there anyone else downloading, or uploading? And is the connection fine with just one of you playing? And if so, have both/all of you tried it individually and it works fine? And, I have to ask just to make sure, is it a broadband internet connection?

    I have a 4 port computer network. I've had three people playing Day of Defeat (another half life mod) with no problems until someone tries to access the pictures I have on my apache server. I am running a Linksys router, but it should be about the same.

    well both of us are fine when one of us arnt playing and its yes i am using broadband and then yeah im playing counter-strike what can i do ? to fix this problem its only the two of us and we are not downloading or uploading anything

    chances are your rate settings is too high in whatever game you are playing, usually on dsl i would use a rate of 25000 in something like q3/RTCW:ET but if you are sharing the connection you need to lower this to say 10000 or 8000 ish.

    gosh..Bryan/Josh, i tried to help u online but u so ****ing lazy to use www.google.com ? now u have to post it just to get quick access to help? all that time that u took to post and read u could have already fixed your problem.............

    *edit* and its not a LAN party if theres only you and josh....
