    Hi guys

I got me a new LG 25UM64 monitor is ultra widescreen with an aspect ratio of about 21:9 The native resolution is 2560x1080.

My problem is Im not able to run better resolution then 1920x1080.When i switch to 2560x1080 the picture is terrible

Monitor is hooked up the DVI cable. my set up --- CPU i5 2500k
    VGA MSI GTX 560 Ti
    Win 7 ultimate 64 bit

Do I need a different graphics card?

Am I missing something? HELP! Thank you for any advice.

Have you checked for a driver update for your graphics card?

did the monitor come with a disc?, it maybe that you need to install an inf file from that, 2560x1080 isn't a standard res it's 21:9

I have an Ultrawide and you need either a Dual link DVI with all the pins like this: [IMG]

Or a Displayport lead. The normal DVI leads don't have the bandwidth to display all those pixels, so it just reverts to 1080p
