    hi

Being a big tech enthuesiast i thought i would treat myself to a blu-ray player this crimbo, i wne tfor the Samsung BD P1600 which is billed as 'wireless LAN ready' what they forget to mention is that you need a special samsung adapter whcih costs £50!

i was hoping to use a spare USB wifi adapter i had, so does anyone know how i could make it work without buying the samsung adapter.

P.S. i know i can wire it in via ethernet but this is not practical in my house.

You could get a couple of homeplug adapters and link it up that way? A quick google leads me to believe the link sticks are proprietary, i doubt you'll ever be able to use a standard wireless dongle. If even you could, you'd need to get the drivers onto the player etc.
