I've got a 6800GT and i can seem to get a stable oc anywhere past 395/1.0. I want to watercool the card, but out here in sunny south africa nobody knows what danger den is. The only worthwhile watercooling stuff is thermaltake. I was thinking of water cooling the core and putting on some Zalman sinks. Think it'll work?

it could work... but you'll be needing to ensure there is some airflow to those heatsinks

I'd stay well clear of Thermaltake's water cooling solutions.

Have you contacted Danger Den as I was under the impression they ship worldwide :)

geez ppl it dosent always have to be DD. A good wc block could be the new Zalman GPU block which comes with heat sinks. Or antoher good one is Aquacomputer. In my opinion DD is over rated. But do stay away from TT they do no good what so ever.

I agree... DD is not only over rated, it's WAY over rated... I'll add alphacool and asetec (yes... the same company who makes vapochill) to that list

I think you're both missing the point here.

I've simply said to stay well clear of Thermaltake products as a high quality heatsink and fan will offer similar/ better performance.

Have you used Danger Den products? Are you able to compare the performance and build quality with other equipment?

well... I don't like the bulky 1/2" tubes that those danger den blocks require...

I have had DD, Zalaman and Aesetek so I can in my own opinion say that DD isn't all that great just very expensive. I would say that the best way to cool the G6800 GT would be by having a small block on the core and heat sinks on the ram. Comparing the big DD block against the new Zalman GPU block was quite fun. I got a -6c temp decress when switching from DD to Zalman.

You can use 3/8" barbs with DD products also.

    Edit:
I was disappointed with the performance of the NV-68 also but the acetal topped Maze is a great improvement and easily outperforms any air solution I tried (Zalman 700-cu and a ghetto-rigged Aerocool HSF).

Have you thought about and Artic Cooling air solution like this? Plus sidewindercomputers is a great store to do business with and they ship world wide.
