Essentially, i cant tell if i've got my router configured properly(its a old PC running smoothwall linux) If you can just look at

& tell me if its working. Ive had issues with hosting stuff recently, and i think the trouble is with my ISP. They promised me a static IP, and then later took it away, and now i think theyre blocking web hosting or something.

And yeah, i know the web site isnt impressive. It took only about an hour and a half, and that was mostly making the images, and working out the imagemaps.

    *Edit* Html is TCP right?

HTTP is TCP, and per default listens on port 80.

I get a timeout error while trying to view your site.

I've got port 80 forwared to my server, but it doenst seem to like me. I wonder if its the webserver

%&$@&$ I'm such an idiot. I just checked from within my network, and still can't get it. I'm looking into a beter webserver now. I dont really want to use apache, cause i've heard its a pain to configure initally. Anyone know an easy to set up web server?

Can you try now? I've got a new server running.

Cancel that, ive got 2 NICs in my computer, and the server is on the wrong one. RRRRrrrrr :wallbash:

*Edit* Fixed the issue, it was an improperly connected cable. Screwed everything up

Nothing (imo and probably also 70% of the web's oppinion) beats Apache. Manual pages are there for a reason :thumb:

There's only about 3 things to change to make it 'work' ;)

i am not sure what you mean with config's apache. i am running it on my "server" and it runs just fine. if you're using windows look at www.dslwebserver.com for a step by step on how to set that stuff up.

Essentially this was just a quick project to get back into HTML, and check to see if my ISP prevents me from running a server (which i now believe is true). Because of that, i dont want to have to go through all the setup of Apache. Ive only put about 1.5 hrs into it anyways.
