    Got a college project

    Got to find different methods of connecting two networks together. they are 1km apart

    What ways are there?

    And any other infor u can give me

    Bit cheaky i now but hey- any help thanks

    I now a few but don't have much info on them

    Fibre optix
    &
    Coaxual i think goes that far Hmmmmm:idea:

    theres also radio transmitters / satellite.

    and btw, coax aint really all that good for long distance nemore.

    For 1km apart then the only real options are either Fibre optics or Satellite.

    Or if you don't want to use any more hardware then you can VPN them over the internet. Slow, but possible.

    Wireless (non-satellite) will do the trick easily.

    Microwave, electric cables, fibre, etc. There are dozens.
