Disaster HELP

    Ok here's the deal, i was working on my plexy glass case, and it cracked along a thing part of the case any way to fix this or would it be better to just cut another peice using the broken peice as a template. The plastic is 1/4" Clear Acrylic Plexy Glass.

    You could try and glue it back together, if that doesnt work youl probibly have to get a new sheet of plexy.

    thanks for the input, i'll try the glue thing, but i'll probably have to cut a new sheet :(

    Don't use super glue - it may "eat" the plastic - go for epoxy

    hmm i'll have to check, but i think the only epoxy we have is a finishing resin epoxy.

    I wouldn't use either cyanoacrylate or epoxy glue, neither is fit for gluing acrylic.

    Whay you would need is glue made specifically for acrylic.

    I don't think that gluing it together is really going to help anything. You should just cut out a new one and scrap the old one. I tried building a custom PC case out of plexi and had to bond the pieces together when they broke and it totally failed.
