no no, you've got it wrong. when they travelled to the future they had already changed it by saving claire, thus her being alive instead of dead as future hiro thought. so Peter had saved claire in this timeline. the reason sylar wasn't dead in this future was because they had travelled forward before hiro got the chance to stab him yet in the 'standard' timeline, so of course, he will still be about in the future.

basically, time travel is insane and makes no sense. but, it's fun. this is why The Doctor never _really_ messes with time and why the writers have this 'we are part of the timeline and cannot change events' clause - because otherwise the entire logic of the show would break down.

Fod: Yes, you're right, but if saving Claire "had already happened" then why were future Hiro and Peter surprised by it?
Shouldn't time have just re-ordered itself based on Peter saving her, and thus Sylar can't regenerate?

Again, it's a paradox and delt with in a rather Star Trek way imho.
All we can do is watch the next episodes.
I hope to god that they don't end the season on a cliffhanger and not show us the big fight with Sylar.

Maybe it takes time (ha!) for the timeline to sort itself out after something has been changed in the past. That's my thoughts anyway.

next season is apparently unrelated to the current story and will (i think) focus on
the parents of the current heroes and their capers in the past
    - if you have noticed every person's parents seems to have an ability too.

so hopefully it will end in a fairly satisfying way.

Yea, thats been confirmed. Like a comic book story arc there will still be a main theme (good vs evil, save the planet America, have a disjointed love life) but the plan is that the story arc will end and a new one will start. So don't expect any stupid cliffhangers. Unless NBC has decided they know whats best and are forcing Kring into it.

Anyone seen Spiderman 3 yet? Peter Parker looks rather similar to Peter Petrelli when he has the emo fringe look going on...

Have they ever been seen in the same room? :worried:

I spent the entire of last night shouting at the TV at Hiro's ***** antics.

    Heros just annoys me.

Yeah, Hiro wasn't very heroic. Though I did enjoy the Sylar drama a bit.

And of course the end only leaves me wanting more.
I've said it before, but I will definitely be buying this as a boxed set when I get the chance.

Cause the two other guys I live with watch it more religiously than I do. If it's on, I'll sit down and eat dinner and watch it. Beats the **** on normal TV. :p

I found the Syler drama pointless and irrational.

i like the current set of characters, but i think its good to change them. this season has been all about them coming to terms with there powers. the next season should be the same, but with a different group.
i think they have to do something different as if it was just the same people trying to save the world every season it would be like watching x-men.

on a side note, are we ever going to see 2 people with the same power?

I have a theory about the scar, I reckon hiro goes for him (like he is supposed to) and some how it sticks...as it were...maybe something do with the sword?

Either way, it'll be interesting to see if the bomb actually goes off AND if it is sylar or peter.

dunno if u chaps know but between season 1 and 2 there is going to be a 6 episode mini series called Heroes:Origins, in each episode a new hero will be introduced and at the end the public will vote on which one of the six will become a season 2 regular, weird idea but at least it fills part of the gap :)

Please remember that most here are following Heroes on UK SciFi, which is only up to episode 12 "Godsend" as of 2100 BST today (I think).

My impression was that with Clare sent into "witness protection" by her dad, Peter couldn't find her to copy her power.
BTW, What is it with directors giving swords to George Takei? :D

Peter copied her power when he saved her from Sylar back at the high school. That was back in Episode 9, "Homecoming"?
