Modding Hiding my DVD drive

Ok thinking of modding my Midgard over easter.

Been thinking about what I'm going to do and since its my first mod dont wana do anything too drastic possibly a simple window and this little idea to begin with.

Thinking of trying to hide my DVD drive with one of the pop-outs that come in the case that you remove to insert the drive ( not sure the name).

So far I think I'm going to need to :
1. move the drive back currently sitting flush with the front of the case.
2. cut down the pop-out so that it sits flush over the drive bezel.
3. find a way to attach the drive bezel to the drive.
4. find away to eject the drive threw the bezel, possibly a piece of black plastic poking out of the pop-out to push the eject button.

Anyone tried this before or got any ideas / suggestions?

 

Search the forums for stealth dvd drive, there are plenty to go around, even a guide made ages ago.

found a link to a really simple one which is similar to what I'd planned, shall post pic's over the weekend

 

How about a slot drive DVD. Virtually nothing is seen that way.

all you have to do is cut a slot in one of the drive bay blanks.
