High-end gaming spec

    People on XS are saying that the 780i boards aren't any faster or more stable than 680i... I'd rather have a DFi 680LT

    YES, It doesn't offer anything interesting, BUT it will DROP the PRICE of the 680i as it's not "top of the line" and not "latest" hardware anymore.

    There's some usefull hints in here, but as I said, it's not the same situation as if I was here asking how to spend 2k on a rig. The idea is how best to spend 2-2.5k on a box that will not be upgraded for three years. Hence the overspec components for current usage.

    On the stuff that's been raised, does anyone know with the Penryn QC Exteme Edition will be out (for retail sale)? That might be one thing worth delaying a few weeks for if it's due soon.
