    Evenin'

Considering you're going through the trouble of both crossfire on high-end cards, and watercooling your whole rig; down to the inclusion of a discreet sound card etc, I find it somewhat strange you've omitted a primary SSD and an accompanying 6Gbps Pci-e card?

Its easier to get a 5970 and use 1 waterblock for that instead of two waterblocks for two cards. The 5970 uses the same cores as the 5870 so you can overclock it to the same levels easy.

BTW what are you doing for monitor?

Hi Guys Thanks for the Replies

The reason For the Lack of an SSD Is I'm just waiting for the prices to drop hopefully, I was thinking of a 64gig SSD but that was just for boot times I came to the conclusion is wasn't worth that yet (or am I wrong) , I was going to upgrade that later when I saved a little more money

I will change the the crossfire to a 5970 If I get the same performance , I will look that up thanks, I have a samsung 23 inch screen and a philips 19inch screen at the moment, but just like the SSD I will upgrade the 19 when I have the cash

Is the i7 950 not better value than the 930 at the moment?

No SSD in a rig like that is crazy. I don't know why anyone building a high-spec computer can justify not having one, especially when they are becoming more affordable by the day - Scan have the OCZ Vertex 96GB for £138.

5870 cf is faster than 5970 in all but 2 benchmarks, yes you save money buying the 5970 but it comes with its own issues bios needs replacing in most of them to stop blue screen crashes

you could overclock the 5970 but it wont reach 950 per core at very safe temperatures if at all

    the 5870 will

and get the i7950 its a few £ more for a better chip and it overclocks easier

I will change the cpu to the 950, The crossfire I always wanted so I might keep that too, The SSD I will look into, I have another PSU at home (EnerMax Galaxy 1000w) instead of the 850W Corsair , This would free up money for the SSD , put I dont know if this PSU is suitable,

850 watt is more than enough

my 980x system with 5870 cf uses 700 watt under heavy load with a wall socket monitor ( prime 95 4.6ghz overclock full water cooling )

in general gaming its not above 600 watt, ( idle is a shocking 324 watts lol ) i should enable some of the power save features perhaps one day

Would the 64GB SSD Crucial RealSSD C300 (sata 3) be better than the OCZ Vertex 96GB (sata 2)

brave758 : I know the Power Supply 850W Corsair CMPSU-850HXU will do me but I see u have a Enermax Galaxy 1000w also , I have a Enermax Galaxy 1000w in my current machine which is over kill in that one , Would u recommend it with this spec, Its just so large though and I was going to put 2 X 120 rad in the same compartment and dont think they will both fit

Mate if you already have the galaxy PSU there is no point buying a new one its still one of the best PSU's out there.
As you said earlier you could put the money to the SSD I've just got myself the OCZ V2E (120gig) which would be a much better spend.
Also what size screen you using a single 5870 will handle a 24" no worries and with the HD 6xxx just around the corner you could get a single slot with the same performance
