Windows Hitman Blood Money Demo released

I never saw the appeal of the hitman games, I never could get into them. I was assured the story is great, but the gameplay never got me going.

 

Well I had a go on it, it was okay but as Bindi said, the gameplay isn't the best. also has anyone else had trouble setting the res? It only seems to work correctly in 1024*768 any higher and it just makes a black border(like a telly) around 1024*768 :S

I loved hitman 2. Contracts was a real let down. Maybe I'll have to try this one out.

 

I can tell you these things about full retail:

There are NO res issues. I ran at 1280x960 the whole way
Gameplay is a step up from contracts. NO ripped missions
The "accident" system is a joke, and if you're sloppy enough to be seen, you deserve the noteriety.

 

accident system a joke? Im quite enjoying it so far but ive not played any of the others currently on the operahouse mission Im trying to do them all without killing anyone accept the targets hopefully making them accidents aswell then go back and do all the missions guns blazing

Yer i thought that but i played all three and the fact that Contracts didnt have the (sick yet) cool ability to massacre a few hundredd people every level, and in Contracts it wasnt that big, the replaying of the mission from the other games was good but was just a "we dont know what to do" story line. The levels did have the feel of the first and second games and there was just something not there.

 

I'm looking forward to this. I enjoy the Hitman range

 

anyone think this game is badly optimised or is my system the problem the max fps I seem to get is about 30 all way down to 17 see sig for spec.

 

i get around 40 fps on 1024*768 with like 4xAA + Adaptive AA + 16xAF but since this game is quite slow paced it doesn't really bother me.

anyone done the health spa alcoholics mission? I try get that death syrum but it don't work? I kill all three in the coloured robes but nothing?

 

Yep, and beaten it. You have to go to the far end of the medical ward. There will be two orderlys in an office, all you need to do is get rid of one, or both. Then, head through the door at the back, there's a room with all sorts of metal platforms and whatnot, with one more Orderly on the floor. Whack him. One of the doors will have your agent. Use it on him.

btw peeps theres a patch out for anyone that was having problems seems to solved mine

 

It does the same when I run it at 1440x900 on my MacBook Pro. In game is absolutely fine though, although the MacBook gets horrifically hot.

 

it looks nice and if you enjoyed any of the other Hitman games its one to buy, way better then contracts and on par with the others whilst having amazing graphics
