Been playing through this again and it is just one of the best games I have played! Managed to get silent assassin on everything apart from the boat one which was more of a slaughter house than anything! Got into a sticky situation and many people were dropped with the silverballers!

If the new one is anything like this then i will be a happy man!

I absolutely cannot wait for a new Hitman. It's one of my favourite game series ever.

    EVER.

I love pretty much every game in the series, with Silent Assassin being the best but closely followed by Blood Money. So damned good.

True fact: Blood Money is as close to perfect as gaming gets.

blood money could contain only the opera house and suburb levels, and it would still be worth every damn penny.

Although all the levels are really good.(with the exception of the Mississippi boat level, which while a really cool theme, is a pita to complete.)

Hitman 5 is rumoured for the end of this year as is the second film, with or without Olyphant. I'm really looking forward to it, loved the series, the film wasn't bad, quite an easy way to pass an hour half, especially with Olga Kurylenko wandering about with her baps out!

I really enjoyed the film, would love a second.
Haven't played the games, but having heard such good things about it, and since I'm getting into gaming a little bit more, am tempted to bite on one.
So you guys would recommend Blood Money if I had to choose one?

Blood money is probably best in the series but see if you can't find a complete pack shouldn't be much more expensive the whole series is pretty good bar the ninja missions in 2. Oh and after you've got silent assassin in everything go for all accidents. You'll find that tricky in a few places.

I use to enjoy making it go all noisy, was never good at the silent assassin stuff. The whole game sets are about and thought I saw a special offer on steam for them a while ago.

The games are well worth the play, a good laugh, think my old man is more of an addict than me!

I enjoyed the first game though not enough to replay it. Hated the second game almost instantly and never touched another in the series. Given what I just said would it be worth me trying blood money?

They are £6 each on steam, or £18 for 3, not sure how that's a pack really, since there is no saving whatsoever :p

Depends what you hated about the second game. The AI is nowhere near as jumpy in the other games as in 2. (Curses silent assassins ninja levels where a ninja being run over by a van due to bad pathing led to you on the other side of the map having your cover blown.)

It's been so long I can't remember why I didn't like it. Thanks for replying though.

I loved the first Hitman - Played it to death when I was younger. I developed morbid habits of shooting the guards in interesting places and angles just to watch those ragdoll physics, since Hitman was the first game I ever played with true ragdoll physics.
In fact; I think it was one of the first commercial games with ragdoll physics at all.

Hitman 2 disappointed me because it just didn't feel the same; and they removed the bullet-wounds on bodies. When I shoot someone in an assassination game I want to see where :(
I finished it more than once though, as the game itself was still pretty good overall, even if it didn't 'feel' the same.

This thread reminded me that I had Blood Money on Steam so I finally gave it a try and I'm really enjoying it so far, just finished the Opera level with Silent Assassin rating. :)
The tension meter makes the disguise system ever so slightly more believable and the setpieces have been interesting so far.
