Anyone encountered this and know a solution to the problem? I've got it enabled in the advanced keyboard section and even if I manually alter the config.cfg nothing happens when I press the assigned button. I don't want to play multiplayer, just SP and spin off a bit... bind "`" "toggleconsole" is that in your config? because as many people don't realize, that key needs to be shifted for the tilde, otherwise it's just the backwards appostrophe thing (or accent grave I suppose) If you have " bind "~" "toggleconsole" " in your config, you'd need to hold shift and then hit the `~ key also - the key isn't broken or anything, is it?
Thanks for the help, I've tried the "~" key, but that doesn't work either. I finally got access to the steam support forum and they suggested to ind "F1" to toggleconsole, which worked. Seems it's an issue with the keyboard layout you use, as only Europeans seem to have that problem. Thanks alot for your help anyway - much appreciated Cheers Fred
That'll do it... I'll assume that ` and ~ aren't mapped to the same key (~ being the shifted `) on Euro. keyboards then... as that would be most logical.
