Well you never can tell with CPU overclocks. I have 4 Q6600s atm (2unused atm) and here is what happened. Q6600 No.1 has a 1.325 default power setting,Runs at 25degrees. Q6600 No.2 has a 1.215 default power setting,Runs at 35degrees. No.1 will overclock to 3.0GHz stably at 1.4 and runs at 33degrees idle. No.2 will overclock to 3.2GHz stably at 1.315 and runs at 45degrees idle. Room temp was 68degrees. WELL. I would have thought at standard settings that the one that requires the lesser power (1.215) would run cooler as its not pulling as much juice. Hmmm you never can tell. I tested and reseated the HS/F and it made no difference. The 2nd CPU always ran about 10degrees higher but always required less power. Odd to say the least As an afterthought. The 2nd CPU folds better and more stably.
