I want to get a cheap very low power usage server for my home for general nas and for hosting a 24/7 vent server. Was mainly looking at a pre built system as it will probably be more compact. Can anyone give me some general recommendations as I don't have much experience with servers. I would LIKE it to run ubuntu but that's not essential. So long as it will run vent.

It's mainly to allow me tv avoid leaving my 1050w system on 24/7 as the electric bill just came in :D

Pretty sure thats way more than I need. And the point of getting a pre built was it being compact. If i was gonna get a full tower i would just make a m-atx pc.

Get an HP Microserver. The ML40 or something I think it's called. There's a 100£ cashback on it and it has plenty of power for a fileserver/vent server.
