It surprises me how few of you use universal remotes when you have so many!
I've got a logitech harmony 525 which was £39.99 and is ample for my TV, Blu Ray, Xbox, Laptop and AV Receiver!

I love my Harmony 1100. A bit of a pain to set up the first time, but now it's wonderful. If only I had the RF adapter too....

    Done.

Over here in the UK you'll find a lot of people need to use a Sky+ remote with a home theatre system. If you could replicate that with a 3rd party device you'd probably find a much greater uptake than a normal "universal" remote which won't properly replicate the functionality of a Sky+ box.

    I do - I have 7 remotes:

TV, Sky HD, AV Reciever, DVD Player, PS3, HDMI Switcher, Room Lights

But only use 2 - My Harmony 525 & my PS3 bluetooth one, and the latter only because the harmony can't contol the PS3.

I gave up using an expensive Phillips Pronto universal remote as it was such a faff to program whenever I changed equipment, and was forever eating batteries. The Harmony costs a fraction of the cost, and in my mind, is a better product.

We have 6 or 7 remotes here, but only actually need to use 2 of them anyway - one for the all-singing all-dancing home theatre amp and the other is the Sky+ one. I keep getting tempted to a fancy Harmony, but it doesn't seem that necessary with only 2 remotes.

    done. Rep please :D

I've got 4 remotes. TV, DVD home cinema, WD TV media player, satellite box remote.

Doesn't really bother me that much tbh. It's really just clutter that's the problem. Sure it would be nice to have a remote that just does everything, but it's 40 quid that I don't need to spend :p

Done. 1 remote, the logitec harmony 1000 does it all (although I might get an ipad to do everything instead)

Oh I have the Harmony One.. Too bad there's nothing I could control with it around here :D I even tried to give it to my parents, but as it turns out their TV was one of the four things the dang Harmony can't control (other three are apparently microwave ovens, cats and tsunamis).
