Nicely designed & done, and that so called "mistake" looks pretty good and actually suits the case - but those green walls are kinda ugly, you gotta paint them - any shade of grey would look good i reckon, light or dark :thumb:

lol @ the comment about the green walls. I had them painted that color when I was about 10 and never bothered to get them changed since I'll be moving out after college anyway. I have lots of posters: kill bill 1, kill bill 2, sin city, pulp fiction, pirates of the Caribbean, v for vendetta, and cowboy bebop.

great looking case! Love the look!

the copper totally pops out and grabs your attention. :D Love the dramatic look of the bare aluminum with all the bolts showing..

    :D

    Congrats on a great job

Nice dramatic industrial look, looks really tough, great craftsmanship, the copper is a nice touch.

small mistake ..................the case looks awesome ........and heavy!!:thumb:

If you have some of the copper left over you could "correct" the "mistake"
The idea I had for it is.....since the upper corner on that side has a larger triangle, you could do
it there too and cut out the part that would cover the mesh:

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I was after the industrial look, so mission accomplished.

It is indeed heavy. I'd peg it at around 50-60lbs with everything installed. As to your suggestion, that's not a bad idea, but there is no way for me to get the small triangle off :duh: It is JB welded to the aluminum. The two large triangles are 3.5" wide and 7" tall, the smaller triangles are 1.75" wide and 3.5" tall. (half the dimensions). I wouldn't want a triangle in the lower right to be the same size as the large ones, but I would kill the symmetry if I did anything bigger than 3.5x7. So I don't know...

Now the only thing left to do is figure out what to do with my old wood case....

theAliens idea really does make it look "planned" and not a mistake. Air vent to nowhere or air vent for future something? Very nice all in all.

well........at least you can be sure that no one will just grab it at a lan and run away with it.........

there is always a way to get it off..........:dremel:

OK .....I didn't think about a symmetry reason ....... but you could still cut out the piece of copper covering the vent ........it wouldn't look like a "mistake" anymore.........

    just a few thoughts........

I can totally dig it! The copper looks great! Cutting off 26 of those screws must've sucked, especially since they do cost $$ and all. My only suggestion:

Your resevoir looks a little crooked, I dunno if it was a temp fit for the picture or what, but mabye you could straighten it up a bit? I love the case, it looks really well built and you should be proud.:thumb:

Thanks! The reservoir is a little crooked. Pressing down on the top of it levels it. I think it will settle in time once the tubes bend and hold their shape.

Seems fine but I haven't really been able to use it much yet. I've only played a few rounds of TF2 on this new machine. Something is wrong with my CPU block so the chip is overheating. I should have it fixed within the week once a small part gets here. Until then, the machine is offline. :(

Nice looking case there, very unique! My only complaint is that you and your dad need to learn to smile. You are sitting in front of a masterpiece, LOOK EXCITED! :D

lol, my dad was making a weird face so I snapped a pic. He is smiling, his head is just angled downward. I, on the other hand, find it hard to smile for the camera.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Thank you :D I won't be satisfied with it until I'm able to actually use it without the CPU overheating. :(
