Yes I think we have all seen the flexible keyboards,
    http://www.man-machine.com/keybrd1.htm (thanks man-machine).
Well I decided to make my own.

After many hours of gluing and drying and such I came out with revision one. It was made with hotglue and didnt hold together well.

Then came revision two made with tacky glue, and a different keyboard.

Next came revision three, it is the same as revision one but again different keyboard and tacky glue. Sorry no pic for this one.

Finaly came revision 4, my personal favorite. The buttons kept falling off so I kept them off...

    Thin as paper.
    Rollable.
    And it works.

Hope you enjoy my mod, next revisions wil have letters and numbers...maybe. :D

Um...it looks like you've just removed the keys/plastic casing and kept the membrane/PCB?

I like it, only people who have the keyboard memorized/type by touch could use it :D :D

    1) did you just feel the need to no longer have a easily usable functional keyboard, or what was the real drive behind doing this partictular 'case removal' project

    2) itd be way cooler if a) you were able to illuminate b) you put what each key is, dont write neat, as that has no flavor, write semi-sloppily c) there wasent the problem w/ the control board breaking off or tearing the plastic somehow

I had an extra keyboard lying around...ok so I had 4 extra keyboards and I wanted to do something cool, and I could still use.

Illumination might be hard scince it is very thin, but I will keap it in mind with revision 5.

Yes I said letters are comming.

And the plastic is screwed to the circuit board, so its not comming off just yet. Did I meantion that I was gunna see what happenes when I stuff it in the dishwasher. :naughty:

I can't imagine finding the key you need would be a problem, but I'd be seriously worried about the actual physcial feedback if I tried to use one of those.
Doesn't it feel weird that you're just tapping a flat surface? And ergonomically... do you have it elevated at all at some angle?

    Well acualy...

The circuitboard is slightly elevated because of the screws, something I am gunna fix in revstion 6. Hint hint.

Oh. But isn't it difficult to hit num lock and possibly 789 on the keypad without sliding the keyboard around? I actually meant like a nice stiff piece of cardboard that you could (perhaps just temporarily) mount the sheets to and elevate the back a bit.

I acualy took all the pictures on the trampoline, its because it makes a great backdrop! :D Now yes it is very hard to hit number lock...but that doesnt really matter scince I fried the numberlock button . And I suppose I should post it up, dun du dun duuun.
Revision 6...Hmm wonderign what happened to 5, well I acualy like it the way it is, with out the letters. It is teching me how to touchtype very well and quickly. And yes it is very weird typing on my desk but it is so cool.
