    Howzit Guys,

    Does anyone know where i can get a no-cd patch for GTA 3 on pc please?
    My install disc is fine. but the play disc has a massive crack in it. :(. So i cant play the game. I do own the game,original copy. And i could take a picture of the crack, to prove i own it

    Where can i DL a no cd patch anyone? please!

    Bit late, but Astalavista works well enough for cracks. (Of course you should own the game before you go and DL a crack)

    no cd patches for vice city and GTA 3 do not exist because they have i believe something called saf-disk protection. Basically no-cd crackz and burnt cd wont work. Your only option would be to create an iso of the play cd then volume mount it using daemon tools. :D
    EDIT: hmmm, seems as though they do have no-cd/crackz for the game but does it work as well as putting the cd in the drive?

    just for in the future try www.gamecopyworld.com <- only if you own the game of course though...

    Its always a pain trying to find a play disc...Dont know why companies still do it for games that dont play off the disc, their "protection" lasts for about 30 mins...

    OT: Why do companys bother with serial numbers? Yea i understand games that can go online against other people, but i hate how offline only games need serials. There is no point.

    ofcoarse... Basically, when you start the game, it checks to see if the correct cd is in the drive and plays the game. but with the no-cd crack, the exe is modified so it doesn't check for a cd bfore starting the game ;).

    Yes.
    I find them better than ISOs because you don't have to sacrifice 700+ mb for the ISO.

    Its border line warez. All links so far have been with the intention to stop the need to have the play disc which is perfectly legal...

    Borderline warez, yes... but considering the guy asking is in the UK... this is also illegal. You are not allowed to break copy protection or make backups of software, EVEN IF YOU OWN IT.

    Good thing nobody is trying to make backups or trying to copy anything....Although I can see this getting into a warez vs rights thread and the problem was solved so Im going to go ahead and lock'er down....
