Okay, I'm running a 22" Iiyama monitor off a 7800GT graphics card and have started to notice some rather severe horizontal streaking going on - mainly colours bleeding off to the right almost like motion blur.

Any suggestions on what's happening or how to fix it?

CRT or TFT? If it's a CRT look for the convergence setting in the control panel, that could be off.

Watched the system booting up for the first time in a while and it's getting quite a lot worse... any ideas? :(

Tested on another machine? Is it right from boot-up, or is it once Windows starts? Any chance of a pic of the weirdness?

It seemed to have gone for a while there but it's started up again whilst I have a camera nearby:

Still clueless as to the cause... it's totally responsive, I get the same shadows from the highlighted item in a right-click dropdown menu.

Seems like RAM corruption, may be worth a return.
