Dude, I say get a mrkV Golf GTi Ed30 3dr, i have the same without the ed30 bit. You wont be disappointed, get it fully loaded with leathers etc. I guarentee you will love it, you can drive it as a normal every day car, very practical, wont cost you the earth. When you open her up nothing can touch her, very fast understated, engines are solid and the remap on those are endless. Only thing is get a insurance quote first as they are very high, the only other thing i reckon that would be nice is a R32 (heavy, 4wd as bonus) or a Audi S3 another VAG monster. Good luck To be honest get the edition30 you would have brought a quality hot hatch thats nice to drive, very reliable, and very fast, dangerously....
Get something RWD and Japanese, like an r33 gts or an s15, you can pick up a mid 2000 s2000 for good money Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
R33's are my favorite. Everyone seems to prefer R34's, but I prefer the slightly more understated looks of the R33. I wouldn't mind an s15 at some point, can look very nice. Only problem with both though is that they look much better when modified, which can get very expensive. I'm sure the insurance isn't cheap either. I have a soft spot for the Golf R32 as well.
I'm really surprised at how many people are ranting about the 350Z being in that price range. They've got a lovely exhaust note, but overall they're not great cars, at all. They're not even that reliable. And slow for the MPG. Sorry just sayin'.
As you liked the Leon, I'd be tempted to look at its smaller sibling the Ibiza. The Cupra or Bocanegra with the 1.4TSI are awesome fun cars and the semi manual box is actually great fun (flappy paddles and gear stick change) The insides are much more fun than the (imho) rather plain Fabia or Polo that share the same chassis and engine range. Servicing is easy as any independent VAG Garage can do it reasonably cheaply...
