How can i make COD 2 work under vista?

As in the title really - i went to play this game and vista said NO! Anyone know if there is a work around for this? Thanks!

 

As with a lot of games, if you haven't already tried right-click on your short cut, set it to XP Service Pack 2 Computability mode and set it to run with admin privs.
If that doesn't work, try checking the official COD2 site/forums

 

Have you patched the game to 1.2 i think it is?

It works fine for me without changing the shortcut properties.

 

the game is now at 1.3

 

Works fine for me on vista64

To install, just browse the disk and run the setup exe instead of the autorun. Then, after its installed get the 1.3 update. Single player now works fine, then to make multiplayer load properly just go to the shortcut properties and check compatibility mode for windows XP.

 

Works fine for me on Vista Ult 32, however Punkbuster has recently started crapping itself every time I join a server.
