okay so I am about to mod my natural keyboard from microshaft. I need to know if there is a special way to remove the old leds because i don't want to cut them off and rune the piece of board. thanks people
fine then no one answer. well actually i got impatient and just ripped it out. hard to get solder off back though.
if you have a solder gun you could have just tapped both leads on the back of the pcb and then quickly pulled the led out, Dammed if I know how to get another led back in though.
the way i do those is take your iron and heat one lead at a time...kinda walk it out....works the same for installing new ones. heat one lead and pull...heat other lead then pull...takes longer but it's less messy if you're not too swift with a soldering iron. to go back in just heat solder and press...then heat other lead and press...etc...etc... or break out the hammer... you choose
eh? WTF?? Since when did microshaft solder the LED's anywhere? I got a nautural keyboard that I have pu some Bl00 LED's in and there was no where to solder the LED's on - insted I had to bend the legs of the new LED's so that they would make contact with that piece of membrane or whatever the hoobajooba it is
