Networks How did my dot connect with my WiFi password

    Bought an echo dot in the sale and having a lot of fun with it.

    Only thing that concerns me is that it connected to my WiFi without me imputing the pass key.

    We have a firestick and prime membership, is it stored there or something?

    It can be, but usually during setup using the app you put it in there and it shares it with the dot

    Nope didn't type it in at all, I don't have it written down so I always have to flip the router over and I definitely didn't do that.

    Must have dragged it off the firestick or something.

    There's a tickbox when you put it in to store it in your Amazon account, maybe you did that on another device.

    Ah may well have done, the firestick is the only other device I have although my daughter has one too, had mine for a while now and I cant remember what I did yesterday let only 6 months ago so most likely ticked that box :)
