As the topic says, how do I go about doing this? If you could go through the whole process that'd be fantastic.

For starters, I've downloaded the Windows 7 RC1 64-bit from Microsoft. The file's description is "file", and can be opened with 7-Zip File Manager.

Download CDBurnerXP. Get a blank DVD, run CDBurnerXP, choose 'Burn an ISO Image', choose the location that the ISO is located then click burn!

or if you set CBXP to associate with ISO files, you just double click on the file and press "OK". :)

or you could give imgBurn a go. Install then and then double click on the ISO file of W7 and follow on screen instructions.

The file isn't recognised as an ISO file though. Its type of file is "File"

Then put a .iso extension on the end.

    Just thought I'd add!,

I have Installed W7 from a 4GB USB PD, and it is Much faster than installing from a disc!!.

I would definately reccomend to anyone with a Big enough USB PD to try installing it from USB!!.
