    Everytime I stick in CD or USB flash stick into my PC (WinXP) a seperate Windows Explorer window appears whether I'm in Win Explorer or not. And Win Explorer pops up out of the blue everytime I take a CD or flash stick out! It is getting very annoying!! :miffed: How do I stop it from doing that?

    And how do I disable Auto-run in XP? I'm gonna play my CDs/DVDs when I wanna, not when WinXP wants too. And with the program I want to use too! :grr:

    for xp pro::
    To Disable autoplay.
    1) Click Start, Run and enter GPEDIT.MSC
    2) Go to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System.
    3) Locate the entry for Turn autoplay off Double click it and modify it (set it to enabled with all drives).

    Oooh....very handy tool that! :thumb: I've already done >My Computer/AutoPlay/Types, but what happens if I uncheck all the boxes in >My Computer/AutoPlay/Drives? Should I uncheck them all?
