Iv NEVER done anything like this before and im a complete noob, does anyone know where i can find the latest drivers for the board or how to go about updating them? Im going to try google now but iv tried to search in the past with no luck, i doubt il get any where this time either. Im not sure how to go about this so any advice or guide for a noob like me would be more than welcome! Thanks in advance guys -Solidus
Asus' website should provide .exe files which run just like regular installers to update the drivers. Unless you mean updating the BIOS...
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx Just stick the model in the box. That's also there but avoid the beta versions until you're less n00b. BIOS-flashing instructions at Asus too. Which BIOS version is installed?
Just to chip in my 2 cents, even though you have the ability with the board. DO NOT UPDATE THE BIOS THROUGH WINDOWS!. Sorry for yelling, but even on the asus website it says in large red letters not to do it.
Yeah, agreed. The one time I tried that, I bricked the board. Flashed BIOSes like 10 times through a boot disk without any problems though.
