Development How do you adjust the line-spacing of a font using a tool such as FontLab?

    Hi

I need to create new 'wider line-spacing' variations of pre-existing fonts (Don't ask - this really is the only solution). I can use a tool like FontLab to open up a font, adjust it's values and save it out as a new font.

    With me so far?

But the last time I created a font was on an Amiga and there's all sorts of Ascend / Descend values that are used.

Any font experts out there who can point me in the right direction of what values will need to be adjusted to give me a font that, to put it bluntly, has more white-space above and below it?

    Thanks in advance.

in CSS, this is Line-height, normally... no idea how to do it offline, though...
