    The PROPER Pronunciation is...

    The correct way to pronounce Radeon is Rade-eon (Rade like in a RAID array, eon as how long it takes to get anything done in this world)

    The other one makes it sound like some lightning bitch out of Mortal Kombat. :p

    There's a GD thread which contains all of these arguments in one here.

    Radeon = RAY-dee-on (like "radiator", though I seem to remember an Ati guy being interviewed once and he said ra-dee-on. Personally I think ray-dee-on sounds least dumb)

    NVidia = en-VID-ee-a (definitely. Never heard it any other way. Does anyone say nuh-vee-duh???? :hehe:)

    ASUS = AY-suss

    Lian-Li = LEE-an-lee

    (Caps show emphasis)

    In British English I can't see how I can be anything but Rad-eon (or Ra-De-On).
    'Raid-on' would only be spelt Radon or Raidon or Raydon.
    'Ray-de-on' would be spelt Raideon or Raydeon etc.
    In American English (read also all non-native english speakers) I could understand pronouncing Ray-de-on and as its a Canadian company this
    could possibly be the 'proper' pronunciacion, but I'm sticking with Rad-eon!

    Not so. You don't say "ra-dee-ay-tor" (or maybe you do :worried:) you say "ray-dee-ay-tor", yet it isn't spelt raidiator or raydiator is it? No - it's radiator. The word trader isn't pronounced "tradder". It's "tray-der" So why is it unfathomable to pronounce radeon as "ray-dee-on"?

    "Raid-on", I agree, sounds dumb and there is no phonetic reason why radeon should be pronounced that way.
