In English, the E makes the AID sound. You don't say LEMONAD when you see LEMONADE do you? It's the same with RADEON. RADE ON.

You don't say FAD when you see FADE do you?

    [EDIT]
I could go into Sesame Street mode by dressing up as a carpet and slide the letters across a brick wall, if that would make it easier for you to understand :geek:

Yeah, but you don't say SESS-AIM when you see SESAME do you? Gotcha :D
Well done! The blind leading the blind, that's what we like to see. And did you know that when everyone thought the world was flat, it actually was? [/sarcasm]

this post was gonna be a simple ""

however, i'm kinda suspecting that it really was a deliberate mistake as you added the word 'sesame' in your edit... either that or you're kinda dumb :hehe:

I say Ray-Dee-On. A couple of my mates say Ray-Don though.

    Nvidia = I say En-Vidi-A
Asus = I say Ase-us (like base, but ase, and "us" like "oos" not "us" as in "there are lots of us") Confusing :D

    I've always wondered:

    A) How you pronounce Abit? Is it like ah-bit or A-bit (Saying the A as if you're spelling the letter A as opposed to it sounding like rabbit)?

Also, when you lot say the Radeon model numbers, e.g 9600/9800, do you say the entire number, e.g "nine thousand eight hundred pro" or "nine eight oh oh pro" or "ninety eight hundred pro" or "nine eight hundred pro" or what? :D

I think the important thing about pronunciation is separating the cyllables, and when that is done we have:

    Ses-a-me street

    OR

    Rade on (raid on)

Ni vi da (nuh vee duh) kinda odd spelling...

    a bit (it's "Abit" not "A-bit")

And as far as 9800 goes, the proper way is of course "nine thousand eight hundred" but what most people will say is "nintey eight hundred".

At least, thats what I remember from grade school...

its nvidia not nivida so that kind of makes it pronounced en-vid-ee-a

i pronounce it radeon ray-de-on, i was at a big lan party in which ati was a sponsor, and all the ati guys said ray-de-on. the party was great, asus, abit, nvidia, dfi and tons of other manufacturers were there also.

I've noticed a lot of people are very weird about pronouncing nVidia. (en-vid-ee-ah)

This is the way it's pronounced on splash screens for recent games like Tron 2.0
