my case is a generic non branded non modded chunk of cream colour and im bored of it and for once i have some cash ive tried spray painting before and i didnt like it so i was thinking of getting some of that window tint film (as used in macroblack) and just putting it over the scummy side panels that i already have. the only things i dont know are 1. does the window tint film scratch easy cos i do a fair about of moving it arround 2 can u buy colours like metallic deep purple or can u paint them so they go metallic <insert colour here> 3 how strong does the stuff stick and is it easy enough to remove if i screw it up i also have a nasty feeling that this is gonne end up with me having to make a custom front plate becase mines too curvey to put this film on thanks for ne help
Once on and completely dried, many of the films are almost impossible to get off. Could try soaking it in water for a while, don't know if it helps. Some are a little more durable than others, but generally they scratch fairly easy. Curves can be done, but it's very hard to do.
once the tint is fully dried he only way to remove it is with a razor and windex, and since its going on plexi/lexan you are probably gonna scratch the hell out of it. but when your first applying it you can move it around as much as u want no problem
Hi. Have a look at adhesive vinyl, i've used it before for graphics work and for graphics on my case. Comes in many colours, thickneses and different types for indoors, outdoors and more flexible versions. It is similar to tint film but would be a better choice for a case, you probably find its cheaper too! This place is quite good: https://www.selectstore.biz/main/assistent.php4?Typ=0&language=english&curency=£&vat=1 Oh a tip for curved suraces, use a hair dryer to warm the vinyl slightly and it will be easier to apply. I'd still consider spraying the case, with patients and the correct procedure you will get brilliant results. Ive sprayed some of my bike frames before and been really happy with the results on most recent ones (bit chipped now tho). Good luck
