..I've had some sat in my car for about 3 weeks now, under the seat. Is it likely to have gone off? It smells ok.
Sugar, like salt, is a natural preservative. Given the sugar levels in fudge, you should be fine. The texture might have changed, and the flavor, but you should be ok as far as microbes go.
I think its kinda funny that someone has started a post on wether its ok to eat stuff he's found under his car seat
THESE are the important questions facing today's scientific community... and would be great on an episode of Brainiac:SA
It wasnt a case of being that hungry, its really good fudge made in a town about 20 miles away, and I had a sugar craving, and remembered that some had been sat in the car for some time. It was a bit harder around the edges, but was fine .
Way to go with the mature sense of humor. Now we'll have everyone making quips and saying things like..: 'ooh, he works as a fudge-packer, in a chocolate factory down in Batty town' and whats worse, you a mod! (can anyone else see the lashings of sarcasm on the fudge in this post?)
3 week old fudge? i've never seen fudge last more than 3 days. and left in the car, under the seat of all places? there needs to be a RSPCS to punish you. that would be the royal society for the prevention of cruelty to snacks. sentence would involve stale pringles and flat rc cola. for a year.
You say that like the mods don't regress to shaved-monkey status and smear peanut butter on the keyboards.
