20 minutes walk to school, or 10 minutes on a bicycle or 5 minute on my moped. Tried it once with a car 15 minute thank to traffic and then a 5 min walk from the closest parking space. So it's usually bicycle or walking like today (flat tire)
between 30 mins - 1 hour, depending on traffic/when i leave the house. doesnt realy bother me, could be alot worse.
Not for me but the g/f: Her journey is about 1h 30m each way as its a 50mile trip to where she works.
Depends. If I walk to work then it takes me an hour each way and I'm trying to do that more and more. If not then it takes me 20 mins to walk to Bindi's house and grab a lift in the morning, then the same when I get a lift back to his in the evening.
Likewise. I seriously want to strangle Toronto's city planners. Absolutely atrocious. C'est incroyable...
30 mins by car in the rush hour - 20 mins with no traffic, the train is 30 mins as well and then about a 5 min walk each end, but I still drive because it's easier and more reliable. Since I am now commuting by car I am going to change my car from my thristy Rav4 to a SEAT Ibiza 1.9 TDi FR - averages 50mpg, people have had 60 out of it.
well, im leaving home at 7:30 and im in office at 7:40-45 depending on traffic (or the need to defrost/de-ice the windows...)
Mine Varies by day: Saturday : 15min drive, ~10min walk Sunday : 15min drive, < 1min walk Monday : 15min drive walk for ages for a parking space then < 1min walk
30 min to the school and back home each way on foot. 10 to and 15 min back on bike...because of the slope.
it takes 1hour and 15mins to get to work. 25mins to get home. i leave for work at 2:00 p.m. and get home at 3:00 a.m. not very many people out at that time of night.
15 minutes at the most when school's out. The sheer amount of traffic when all the kiddywinkles are being driven to school every morning means it adds about another 10 minutes onto the journey. It's only 11 miles!
4 Hours on a Monday (Huddersfield-Staines - M1) then 30-40mins during the week (Staines - Basingstoke M3) then 4-5hrs on a Friday back up to Hudders. I hate the M1!
I´m travelling a minimum of 90 minutes to work, 90 minutes back. When traffic does what it usually does it quickly goes upwards of 120 minutes. It´s safe to say i spend about 4 hours a day in my car. And since i do project-based work, moving is pointless. next month, i´m driving to somewhere else
Bus: Walk to bus stop: 8 minutes. Wait there for up to 15 minutes for the stupid, crowded, smelly bus. Ride it for 25 minutes, then walk 20 minutes. Total: at least 53 minutes. By car: 30 minutes AT THE MOST. During the holidays, a bit less than 20 minutes. And I'm too lazy to ride the bike to work, but normally it's about 45 minutes. On foot, I guess about 3 hours
I always drive into work because I tend to finish late at night, and it normally takes me between 5 and 15 minutes, dependant on the traffic.
oh god, just found out that tomorrow, I have to drive for 3 hours to catch a plane somewhere else. then its a 2 hour plane ride, followed by a 15 min trip in a heli or a 20min drive depending on what strip we land at. glad im not paying the bill. edit: scratch that, after i drove the 3 hours, we then flew to a different airport, and then drove a few more hours to get to the plant. in total, i left my apartment at 8:30AM and got here at 8:15PM. so basically a 12 hour day just to get here.
