How long would be long enough to test a 6 core amd cpu/mobo/ram combo?

I've had it running for 3 hours so far in a mixed test.

This at stock cpu speeds with 1600mhz ram.

I'd say that was more than enough - I've read in some places that you should leave it for 24 hours or something ridiculous like that but in my experience if you're going to have issues it'll be fairly soon after starting the run. In terms of things levelling out temperature-wise 30 mins or so should be fine

Usually I bomb before test three. I wouldn't leave it more than 30 mins it's not good for the power circuitry.

Hmm, I think I'll stop it then.

Temps on it at full load seem to be awesome though, only 36c under a gelid tranquillo.

Idle temp is 15c and I'm sure it must be more than that for ambient so maybe a little off :), mind you it does feel cold in here and we don't have the heating on.

Honestly, it's up to you. Leave it for as long as you would normally use your computer. If you tend to game in three hour sessions, then three hours is enough.

I tend to go for 12 hours, then up the CPU voltage a little to guarantee stability. However, a three hour test gets pretty damn close to the stability required for that, so I only have to do two or three of them. Play a movie and use your computer normally (except gaming!) while you're sat at it just to push it a bit harder.
