well only got 15: Akira (Sp Ed) AI Audition (Japanese horror/thriller...very good!) Back to the Future Trilogy Being John Malkovich Blood: The Last Vampire Fast and the Furious Final Fantasy (crap film, great animation) Minority Report Spaced: Series 1 Spaced: Series 2 Swordfish The Office: Series 1 Three Kings X just ordered 'O Brother Where Art Thou' and 'The One'... I also want to build up my anime collection, but there's not that much available her in the UK (may have to start importing - NEED FLCL!!!)
Ummm, first of all they are the knight's who say "NI!" Then... they are no longer the knight who say "NI!" they become the knight who say: "ECKIE-ECKIE-BKANG-ZOOP-BOING-NI! //I thank you ps: i have about 5 dvds and about 60 divx cds...
Hell yeah, she's the sector to my cylinder. Teehee She loves movies, got her into computers (kinda, at least interested in learing about them), and she puts up with all my sheot. I couldn't ask for anyone better; i've met a lot of people and I have yet to find a girl that is in to movies as much as Luna. We barely watch television shows at all, except for the occasional Buffy episode and some shows on the History Channel, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and Court TV. mashie:pretty nice collection going there, did you check out mine? Haven't seen too many collections with Falling Down in there. Great flick about a who gets progressively nuttier through the course of a single day. radiator:from what I have heard that the board of movie killers in the UK will do to a good movie, I would say that you should do just that. You should look into a DVD player from APEX, they are easy to upgrade (firmware) to a regionless version. Then you can watch movies from where ever you wish to import them from. A great resource for information like this is here: http://www.nerd-out.com/darrenk/. Good Luck I almost prefer the older VHS verison of Akira. They changed some of the wording, deleted some, but you can't beat the DVD version for it's sound and the visual enhancements that were done. There is nothing like the scene when the military is gassing the city and people are running around. Then one guy is walking by when a trooper comes out of the smoke cloud and fires off a canister at him, and says "Scumbag." I was floored as I waited for that part and they removed the 'scumbag' part, they totally killed that scene. Anyway, enough of my opinion. Lates, Ryan B.
My DVD's - I've also bought a load more since this page.... it needs updating and some contents really....! http://www.madyellowbeetle.co.uk/pages/my_dvds.html
I looked through your list, never heard about 1/3 of the films you got though Falling down is fun especially when he is at the hamburger bar
Your right mashie, Falling Down has its funny moments. We (Luna and I) do own some 'different' movies. A lot of people that we know have never heard of quite a few of them, but they seem them and ask for more like it. It's fun to expand someone's , well, cultural intelligence, I guess. "Miss, how does your burger taste..." "Bleeeeccchhhh" Just too good. Lates, Ryan B.
I've got around the 40 mark haven't counted in ages but highlights are: LoR: Fellowship Star Wars: Episode 1 Star Wars: Episode 2 Out of Sight The Matrix : Collecters Edition Gladiator Fight Club The Neogoiater Ocean's Eleven X-Man The Simpson Series 1 The Simpson Series 2 The Godfather boxset Three Kings 6th Sense The Untouchables
My DVD Profiler List 80 titles, although I bought all the Kubrick discs individually, then I bought the boxed set for the documentary disc, so I guess 73. Highlights are all the boxed sets I suppose, Sopranos, Twin Peaks, Kubrick and The Godfather. Now working towards having all the Coen and Lynch releases.
