I own about 30 ish DVD's. I only have good titles not all the rubbish that is out there, I decied to spend more money on my home cinema in the last year rather than films. I rent and borrow films quite a lot. I have been watching the first 5 seasons of X-files and the first 4 seasons of Start Trek TNG recently. I just got Diehard 1,2,3 today delivered for a very low price.
I dont own that many tbh. I have 15 they are: Valentine Kevin and Perry Go Large The Negotiator Rage Against The Machine - The battle of mexico city The Bone Collector MI2 Star Wars episode 1 Star Wars episode 2 Minority Report Spy Game LOTR Special edition Harry Potter Unbreakable X-Men Swordfish Im gunna get all my videos on dvd so i can get rid of them dvd is so much better.
And the Star Wars Trilogy is now on sale! http://www.getvcds.com/vcd/star_wars_trilogy.shtml PS: really good collection you have going there mashie
Thanks. Remember that sale is for the VCD version though, you might consider the DVD version since it got some nice 5.1 sound
ZapWizard: love it, 'Squint to see titles.' (glasses needed, heh) stanleym: Requiem for a Dream, edited? It can't be very good if it is edited. Have you seen the non-edited? Lates, Ryan B. EDIT: Forgot to mention that we just bought four more movies: Mission Impossible, Top Gun, Days of Thunder (Tom Cruise 3 Pack), and Signs. Bringing the total to 315.
Hmm i checked the disc, i've not chosen the correct one in DVD Profiler, i actually have the "Director's cut". That's the only version i've seen, cracking film.
stanleym: I saw it and it made me wonder. I would think that if there were an edited version, it would be about 32 minutes long with enough 'bleeps' for two 'edited for television' movies. Well, it's definatly a disease or something, we (Luna and I) returned home a little over an hour ago with five more movies. Wes Craven's Shocker Good horror type movie here, but as usual, not the best in execution. Pun not intended, but funny none the less. Easy Rider Classic movie in all the sense of the word. Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson, and Captain America (a motorcycle). Nuff Said Blood: The Last Vampire Vampire anime horror. Haven't watched it yet. Go Nagai's The Devil Lady Japanese Animated horror by a master of the genre. Was recommended by a friend. Gasaraki 1: The Summoning Interesting story, kinda mix between Neon Genesis and Akira, yet original. We usually buy a few movies at a time, but this has to be some kind of definable sickness. The collection hits 320 now. Here's a new one for the dictionary (if it were real, we have it!): Polycinephilia: excessive fondness of movies Lates, Ryan B.
right now my DVD pre-xmass stock was at ~75, now post-xmass it is right at 103 dvd edited end number should have been 103 not 130 just a typo
Good film...if a little short (just over 45 minutes) - very nice looking, good mix of traditional cel animation, and CGI...
good film, not one of my favourites but still good. only about 45 mins long mind, and the cg does give it a strange animation effects, but still good
PHxS: if yer after cheap anime, try Anime Corner Store - their prices seem pretty damn good (around $15 per DVD - depending on what you get)... ...gonna order Neon Genesis Evangelion boxset sometime next week (£82 from www.dvdmods.com - ok, thats pretty expensive, but I can't be bothered with the hassle of ordering from the US (it'll only save me around £20 anyway!))
ToMmEh: The case says that it is 83 minutes. I'll give it a watch first thing tomorrow. radiator: Thanks for the link, most of the stuff that I want is about the same price as local (gotta look around though) or a little cheaper. Shipping would have me paying more in the end, buying a lot at once might save me some on shipping and the things I wanted were much cheaper than local prices. I'm sure i'll be ordering stuff soon as I start getting into other stuff as I wouldn't be able to find most of it locally. Luna bought me a DVD today, Armitage III OVA. Collection is at 321 now. Lates, Ryan B.
PHxS can i move in with you and Luna? i dont take up much room, and i have my own dvd player, so i wont be always using your tv...
It should seem I have NONE now either a) Someone is playing a practical joke on me or b) My room has been robbed (who would steal ~10 psone games, a ps2 game, a handful of dvds, and leave all my shiny electronic stuff behind?... Hopefully just a prank...)
Even a smackhead (God knows there's plenty around here) knows that a ps2 is worth more than a handful of ps1 games and some crappy dvds. Also, a ps2 would be much easier to carry... as would my wallet!
VadimtheConqueror: Hehehehe. A roomie would be cool (help out with the utililties), but I don't think Luna would want a roomie as she does like her privacy. There's a house across the street that was for rent, I think someone just moved in today actually. Now I am just waiting to get her on the computer and read your post to see what she says. MrDT: I hope someone is playing a prank on you. Do you live with others or by yourself? I know that I would go nuts if someone stole my movies. I think I would catch them in the act though, having as many as I do. ToMmEh: I watched Blood last night and it was a little over 40 minutes. The 'making of' feature was as long as the movie itself. Definaly a good movie though, fully enjoyed the CG. The 3D look of it all was well executed. I'm definatly going to watch it again this week. Lates, Ryan B.
damn, gonna have to find someone else to mooch movies off of then btw, did you mean to saythat your back account suffers, or is that sposed to be bank?
Sadly, it should seem I've been robbed I live on the ground floor in halls, and I assume this has probably happenned when i was in the shower/kitchen/bog... At least I won't really miss the stuff. Got loads of movies now, not on dvd. I don't really buy many now. Also, the games were old ps1 games. It's still not a nice feweling to know that some scabby little ******* has been in my room and stolen my stuff :grrr: There's seven people in our hall, approximately 90 in the building, and hundreds on the site. Sadly, that doesn't stop thieving chancers from walking straight in and pilfering your stuff... Oh well, it could have been a lot worse. //apologies for mini thread hijack.
