I've had it for about four days now, maybe five. Have clocked 30hours. Not really going after the story quests, just doing side quests, and finding new places, looking for odds and ends to repair weapons make ammo etc.

    I think I might have a problem :blush::worried:

    About 125.

My first playthrough was 75~ hours, then I decided to restart. Second playthrough, I didn't like the character, so that went out after 20 hours. I'm a good 20 into this one now.

I got it the day after release but I've only put about 10 hours into it, been crazy busy between work and school, anytime i go to play a game I pick up something quick and easy to jump in/out of.... fallout for me tends to turn into a day-long marathon :p

Sitting at about 105 hours as of last night, half way through 2nd play through. Problem is I keep going back to the Guns/Sneak/Lockpick/Melee build - so same as 1st play through, just evil this time.

guess its the cold blooded assassin in me :p

Just shy of fifty five hours on my first play-though, but I'm starting to get rather upset with the amount of bugs this game keeps throwing at me. In places it is so bad that it is near game-breaking (as an example: couldn't do any of the Mr. House quests because Victor decided to stop living of his own volition).

Once I get done this play-though I'll probably just set this game aside for the next ten or so months in hopes that it gets patched up to a playable level. Great game, just needs a band-aid or two.

These bugs are more likely to be fixed by the community than by the developers. If the previous games with this engine show anything - all changes to the engine itself(graphics glitches, GPU support, etc) are all that get put into official patches.

on the up side, a mod fix for something like that will be in the kb of size, and fairly easily made.

If you want, I can even look into this particular bug and make a fix for you :thumb:

There's a bug where going into the pip-boy you can't chance ammo type. You have to press the '2' (ammo change) key. Rudimentary but I initally thought the 2 key was the reload key hehe.

I've got the science, repair, intelligence route. My barter skills are at around 25, which is pants, and my explosive skills are around 30.

On the upside, I'm building loads of weapon repair kits which means I can repair the good guns (hunting rifle, sawn off shot gun). Only problem at the moment is that I haven't got the right components to build ammo for the 'hunting revolver' :(.

Busy looking for cherry bombs to make bottle cap mine to go and clear some quarry of some monster dudes. Every other gun just isn't gonna cut it. I stupidly ate whatever cherry bombs I would find initially. (you can eat them can't u? That must be it xD )

    33Hours played

I know what you mean about the cherry bombs i only have 3 and havn't made a single lunchbox bomb :waah:, but there are sugar bombs they're the ones you can eat and not explosive thankfully. But does anyone know anywere i can find lots of cherry bombs.

And were is the best place to get large hunting rifle primers (3o8's) these are two items i can never find :eyebrow:

44 hours, but I'm done until the DLC.

You don't need anything like that, anti materiel rifle, boone, and ED-E is all you need.

And buy ammo at all the shops. By the end I had more ammo and stimpacks than I could ever use. I just bought out every vendor.

If I was playing on the PC it wouldn't be as much of a problem, but it is somewhat difficult to do that sort of thing on the xbox. Thanks though.

    You can find them on merchants, as well as in letter boxes. According to this site;

    http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Portal:Fallout:_New_Vegas :D :thumb:

Just be sure you don't spend hours hunting for stuff if you don't have the right amount of skill required. I did that with hunting down the items for the bottlecap mine, and had 43 out of 75 skill. I've now used skill pts and etc over last two levels and need to add 3 skill to be able to use a skill book (+10) for the 75 skill pts needed.

When I found vault 11 and had the repcon test site quest, I came back later on with ED-E to help me carry stuff :D

Why do you need the primers, I've got plenty of ammo for the hunting rifle. That's one ammo that's usually pretty easy to buy and in decent supply at the dino store, goodsprings store, etc.

I ended up going in with cowboy repeater, sawed off shotgun, med-x, milsurp review (adds gun effective), rebound, stimpacks. I went in, planted a few shots, went out again. Waited for AP, expecting the knightkin chief to come out and get me, but it didn't :D Handy bug that lol. As for getting up there in the first place, I went at night with a stealth boy. Used frag grenades and a patriots cook (explosives eff book) on the ones in the grounds on the radio towers themselves. I then used the rocket launcher I found to clear any remaining ones out.

Have yet to bother with finishing benny quest (confront benny) mostly just because it's quite far up the map. Want to try and finished the ED-D My love quest.

I think there may have been a bug with the large rifle primers i had a box of one hundred for ages but only today they seemed to register on the bullet bench.

Thanks will check some mail boxes right now, i went up to a mail box the other day and it blew up in my face and avoided them since- :D

Meh, I want to finish this one mission with the ED-D robot, but you've got to speak to lots of ppl and even then I still can't figure it out. Have been trying to use the walkthrough etc, but I just end up making more quests out of other ppl etc. :( Am on my way to take out benny, but need a high science skill, or 2500 caps heh. Guess it's more side missions till I get either one of those.

The mission for the bot opens up as you adventure around. Probable certain locations prompt growth. I never really paid much attention as I had E from very early on. Two factions will eventually want to peek at her.

As to the gaming hours..man some of you must love pointless exploration. Think I clocked 48-49 hours when I finished the game. It's long since been uninstalled.

Thats another bug - the primers, and most of the ingredients needed for making bullets (besides the cases and hulls) do not register as usable components until they have been placed into a container, or dropped - and then picked up again.

Edit: and thats for all sizes as far as I know, not just large rifles

I am playing on the Xbox, but must have clocked over a 100 hours so far. Lost about 5 hours yesterday when all of a sudden it locked me out of the strip and I had to go back to an old save and replay. I followed exactly the same path after the save and when I got to my previous point I could still enter the Strip - must have been a bug.

Loving the game though - I am trying to stay on good terms with every faction until I have to make a choice - I have to say that I am really nervous about which final path to take!!

Trying to fire the side missions for Arcade and Veronica at the moment too - just can't get them to give up their side missions! I checked a guide and I am sure I have met all the prerequisits.

This game offers so much value for money if you do everything - amazing in this day and age!

Tbh, if you buy this game and finish it in no time, it's a waste.
