I'm a bit of a hoarder. So at the moment I have five mice 2xG500s G9x Coolermaster sentinel Coolermaster inferno storm
Currently I'm using my beloved Logitech G5 (old style), and I've got an Anker* vertical mouse with a broken scroll wheel. My spare mouse at work is an ancient, but bomb proof, Intellimouse. It's never let me down after years of abuse. * yes, that is really the name of the company, just calling out for a tipexed W adding to the front.
1, Razer deathadder for gaming 2, wireless mouse so I don't have to reach for my computer when watching/listening to media files 3, one I bought for my vm server before I realised it didn't have a cursor to move around
Currently using a M65 I think it is on my pc, but I also have a Microsoft Sidewinder and a Coolermaster mouse that I am not using at the moment.
Logitech G500 Logitech M505 Those are home and away mice, I also have an Ozone Smog that is a backup (well under rated mouse I really like it as it's quite massive and I have massive hands), I have about 10 HP oem mice that I use on all the other computers around my house and to plug into repair jobs.
Razer Boomslang 2007. I got it from OCUK for £35 about three years back and really like it, but sadly in Windows 7 and 8 it's plagued by bad software. When you boot up the scroll doesn't work without unplugging it and plugging it in again. The side buttons also get mixed up a lot. I put up with it until recently because I loved the shape, but now it's gone back in the box with all the bits. Corsair Raptor LM2? something like that. Was £7.90 from Ebay (dabs). Scroll wheel started jerking about a month in. Waste of cash that then. I've also had a Razer Salmosa that started squeaking like a pig. And an Abyssus that also failed. Now? Well I'm done with all this over priced under built gaming bollocks. I got this for £19 about two weeks ago. I'm finally getting used to the keyboard...
the home block on that lenovo would drive me up the wall! I can't fathom why they would do that and still have the spare width on left and right edges. I've a couple of mx518s, using a cm storm inferno on my gaming PC at the moment, I've considered changing but can't find something else with the same range of buttons, particularly the extra left and mouse buttons. Also got a logitech wireless with a really smooth scroll wheel i use on the HTPC, or did 'til i started using logitech touchmouse from my phone. Oh, and the dinky white mouse and keyboard RF wireless set I got with my revo 3610 (RIP) which is surprisingly handy to have about. oh, and matching SGI granite set of KB and mouse for my indys, though the KB is the smaller rubber dome one not a big mechanical alps one. oh, and my first optical mouse, a samsung ps2 corded thing i got from maplin back in 02. thinking about it now, i've never had a mouse break or stop working, i've just tried alternative things and kept changing. if i could mod the mx518 to have the button layout from the inferno that'd last me forever i think.
It's taken two weeks just to be able to type on it. It's very strange tbh. I'm getting there though. Hitting the delete key far less than I was The desk I have is enormous. My lady bought it from the Oak Center in Poole and had it custom made. It's so deep (over a meter) that we had to take it apart to get it in here. It's also high, so thick keyboard = wrist ache. The Lenovo is almost flat which alleviates the issue. The mouse is lovely though. Back to basics, it's really solid and accurate
Two mice that I actually use and a box of ex-mice... Used logitech k/boards and mice for years as I like the combined software for gaming configuration, I've just bought a logitech G602 wireless gaming mouse, of course some people don't think wireless is fast enough for gaming but the G602 uses dedicated Wi-Fi which is much faster than bluetooth and works fine, "THERE IS NO LAG" Some people will say 2500 DPI and 500 RPS is not high enough for gaming but that's a personal preference and I find it fast and accurate enough, the buttons are also easier to use than the G9 which I used for a few years and the battery life is also as impressive as claimed, G602 is definitely worth a look if you want a new mouse and has received many good reviews even by some pro gamers who admit they don't need 8000 DPI and often step down to 400-800 DPI for accurate shooting.
Four: 1) Razer Mamba (2012) as my main gaming mouse. 2) Logitech MK710 as my non-gaming mouse. 3) Logitech Performance Mouse MX as a backup (I don't like the button positions). 4) Crappy £2 wired thing from PC world in case all of the above break. DECEASED: Logitech MX3200. You were the best mouse I have ever used and I regret smashing you to kingdom come when Mass Effect 3's last major battle made me flip out a few times. I wish I could still buy one! If there's one bit of advice I can give, if you find a mouse you love, IMMEDIATELY buy at least one more of it! EDIT: Thanks to this thread I have now bought a new MX3200 for about two and a half times what it was originally worth. Damn you Kovoet!
G500 at home and Sidewinder on my desk at work. Another sidewinder in the spares drawer at home, but it has a dreadfully spongy and soft scroll wheel (must find a replacement). The kids have an Intellimouse and a Habu. There's an odd one or two generic models in the cupboard and I think there is at least one more hiding behind the skirting at the back of the dishwasher.
I've never done that Wireless mice are the worst, just so easy to punt them across the room and then have to fight the dog who's run off with it to get it back
