I've been doing this for 10+ years.
How many mods have you guys ever done that NEVER have been seen anywhere? Question is why?

I have done 6 whole cases & many mini-mods (mice headphones etc) over the last 8 years. no one but family has seen most of it because 1) usually I feel it could be better & 2) a good part of it all was done before I joined this site!

I made a project log in like 2002. Literally 9 people viewed it, before it died in the mysterious depths of the "project logs" section. I think it lives in the back of my parents' basement. Does that count as "has never been seen anywhere"? :brrr:

I've done a few cases along the way for folks that were never seen. Gotta consider I just started posting last year, due to my previous "hermit modder" status before I was coaxed into joining the world, so there are some that were never shown. Some of my main rigs in the past weren't seen either. Plus, I didn't own a camera at the time. :hehe:

I know that feeling. I've been here for years, finally registered in 2006, and did my first post in Jan. 2008. I'm asking the question because one of my earlier mods is coming back for a facelift.

Quite a few. Some are too small, some are unfinished, some are "learning exercises", and some are just plain crap. That and I've been suing the same case for 3 years, so I haven't really had a good opportunity.

One. MY Wood project. It turned out like a joke. I was building it from zero and was crazy and big. I can post photos but they are disappointing.

I do quite a lot of little mod jobs, though none significant enough to make a front page, so I never really bothered.

    Among my hidden mods are:

    2 case windows
    1 Lighting job
    1 Custom painted PS1
    2 custom painted Dells
    1 Oak bookshelf :p

I have started another mod, and I think I might just post this one up...

I only post the really good ones.

I used to have an external WC case built out of a Koolance unit and a Lian-Li. It was kinda nice, but now I mostly just post the good stuff.

my first mod was unseen - it was an atari ST520 - painted it black - key legends white & I moved floppy drive 90 dgrees and at an angle so faced user. That was in first half of 1988 - no internet & mates at computer club would have just had me committed. Modding started before 88 with sinclair spectrums being rehoused in new cases etc but afaik not much else..

20 odd years of modding - feck i'm old :(

I only got the three scratchbuilt 'pooters, but I've modded everything but my old van. It's too ugly to fix up at this point...Although a chopped, channeled, and dropped van would look neat. It'd look like a big domino.

Several I haven't posted.. Only because they weren't anything special other than adding fans or windows. I will start to show more of these to help others tho

I modded my Corsair PSU, nothing too drastic i just labeled the wires for the motherboard and CPU connectors (labeled them twice, so i can reconnect them later). Well i cut the wires, soldered a 3-8 inch extension to each wire, then heat shrink each solder, then put on a wire weave and finished the job. After soldering the wires correctly, heat shrinking and wire looming them, it look great. Though this was my first actual mod that turned out great and looks almost factory; I'm pissed to say i didn't log any of it, though nothing too much to log. The reason i extended them was to fit the wires around the motherboard so i wouldn't have wires going across the center of my motherboard and making a mess of it.
