Sets the mode to miffed moderator....

Lorquis started this thread as a poll... and he even gave a note

Straight off some of you ignored this and took a stab a smokers... YES I AM LOOKING IN YOUR DIRECTION JADS.

Like it or not, people smoke, like it or not, people smoke in bars... The next person to argue, flame etc etc will be suspended for a week. Consider this the first, second, and third and final warning.

oh and, Slick13, I'm keeping an eye on you, watch the temper or loose the account.

    Happy posting :D

I think it's down to genes.

My gran (on my mother's side) has smoked since she was 15. She's now 76, and is still fit as a fiddle (no major health problems, never been hospitalised - I imaging she'll be around for a while yet). And as for here skin ageing, I'd say it's no more than you're average 76 year old (like a sun ripened prune).

Actually no, it's not bull**** hon.
    People age differently.
Smoking takes more of a toll on some of us more than others.
After smoking my skin became really dried out and I started to get wrinkles.
So yah it was aging my skin a lot faster.

Well I for sure think its someones own choice and opinion if they want to quit or not. But about the smoking for lots and lots of years and not being rotted on the outside, well I bet if you looked on the inside you'll see difference. I've seen lungs from dead people who've smoked his/her ass off and did it for many years and the persons lungs were all black...and rotted... and nasty. Like I said I WILL NOT touch nicotine. Im just not into that crap man. :thumb:

Looks like Im in one of the higher brackets then...

I can get through about 20 odd a day normally, but it can go over 30 (if Im going out on the p*ss in the night, I can get thru more than 60 in one day). It's quite scary when I actually sit down and think just how much I do smoke. I'd love to say I can give up, but I don't have the willpower to survive living with 2 other smokers and putting up with my job with no *** breaks. Not even with patches or counselling or whatever.

Chew gum, doesn't have to be the nicotine stuff, but apparently bubblegum helps because you can blow bubbles and take your mind off the cravings ;)
