I have been looking around and it certainly doesnt seem cheap. So, how much did you spend to get that window put in your case. How much did your dremel (or similar drill) set you back?

I have estimated the total cost of tools being $200-250. this including dremel, accessories (drill bits), jigsaw, blades (for jigsaw), soldering equipment, glue-gun, multimeter. Obviously, not everyone will need all this equipment (I intend on adding an arch-welder to that list eventually.. in time), but I will be doing some prototyping (making drive bay 'monitors', PCI boards, cooling 'monitors' etc.)

    eh?

I'll be using it to make cases using steel/aluminium.

Note: will also soon be getting a paint 'spray' gun. the perfect tool for painting cases. all of this is going to cost me a fortune :waah:.

    £30 for multi tool
    £30 for jigsaw
£30 on blades and wheels etc.

Once you have the tool you don't have to buy it again ;)

£4.99 for a set of Allen keys, only so I can get the front off my case to clean the filter now and again. I really don't trust myself with sharp objects. ;)

yeah, got them here too.. not worth it in my opinion. Dremel have a million accessories including a bench-press, flex-shaft, router table, etc. I also believe its far more powerful (max 35,000 rpm)

Take a look at what I'll be getting, its the Dremel multipro #3956-01 w/ flex shaft
