I am currently thinking of splurging on an intel x-25 80gb hdd, and I was just wondering how much faster than a samsung f3 1tb it would be, at processing a 7gb Iso file in handbrake or other video editing program. Only reason I'm asking is because I started to wonder if the 1tb hdd would be faster at reading that one large file over the ssd, call me crazy. :worried:

My X25-M is lightning fast when it comes to ISO extraction. Helps to have an i7 @ 3.8GHz paired with it tho :D

Indeed was thinking the rate at which you can process it would be more limiting but not sure.

No matter, just picked up the Intel X-25M 80gb to replace my WD Raptor 70gb, today. Busy creating an image of my current W7 setup. Will be installing from that in a bit. Anything I should know before I do this? I.e firmware update, install procedure etc?
