Well, I haven't spent anything. Mainly cos neither of us do the romantic thing. Also I'd never hear the end of it from his Dad if I bought him anything, he's still taking the mick because I got him a card with "love" on it for his birthday a couple of years ago.

I think my Valentine's present from him is a lift home from the pub on Friday...

Absolutely, it's all a big corporate conspiracy. And it works! What else apart from a massive, hallmark induced, guilt trip would make men lose all common sense and buy roses in the middle of winter?

I'll make my own card - nothing says "I love you" like one of my cardboard disasters :)

Around £40 on a dozen red roses :)
Another £5 on a cute picture frame, which I'm going to put a picture of us both in and when we get to meet again, I'll be giving it to her in person :) (so, it'll be a very late Valentine gift)

What sort of grade do you do? (I'm just missing the good old days when I'd be out on the NY Moors or at the climbing wall 2or 3 days a week:sigh: )

Ok, so this is what she got :

    (a) card through her letterbox at midnight
    (b) card and single rose on her desk at work
    (c) bunch of flowers delivered to her house later today

    Total about £50

    About £3.57 :)

    Card = £1.59
Multi-coloured metallic sticky letters (to write card with) = 99p
Black sticky letters (to write address with) = 99p

I have sent mine to a close friend who doesn't believe he is attractive and whom I love very much, I'm hoping its going to cheer him up! :)

Offcourse He'll be texting me when he gets home and asking for my help in discovering who sent it..oh the fun of knowing! :D
I sprayed it with my body spray tho, but he probably won't notice lol!

New Fossil watch (a REALLY cool fossil watch) $55
    Sim City 4 $49.00

But, Sim City is for both of us :)

    I got the LOTR:FOTR Collectors Edition, that's a great present :)

Our anniversary is next month, I'm running out of stuff to buy her.

    'bout £30-£40.

    Flowers: £10
    Card: £2
    Film: £18
    Food: £5 (home made)

    Effort: £priceless :p

Decided we'd stay in this year (first time in four!) and cooked a home-made lasagne, and baked a cake for afters. Total cost with flowers, card, film, food, etc cost about £35.

Cheaper than the £50 for 12 red roses delivered last year! :eeek:

£32 on a dozen roses delivered for free on her day off, then we went out for a meal so all together £60-70

    She's worth it though
