40-50GB is the sweet spot for me. I've got about 11GB of music I listen to, and 6GB of podcasts. Add in 7Gb of videos and TV shows and you'll see why my 5G iPod 30GB (formatted 27GB) is looking quite cramped...

I voted for the last option, but after having a play with a ipod classic, I'm thinking about picking up a 160GB jobbie. Not *too* big and enough room to hold all of the music without having to swap back and forth

I use a couple of 4gb MemoryStickDuo cards with my SE W810i phone as my MP3 player.

I used a Phillips 3gb Jukebox previously, but it only had presets for the Equalizer and a limit of 1 playlist.

I segregate my music by genre (Metal, Electronic, Classical/Soundtracks, etc) and put different genres on different memory cards (though small genres get palced together on one card) and just switch out the memory card when I want to listen to something different.

In total, I use about 12gb of storage across 3x 4Gb cards. My taste in music is varied, but I don't need to have my entire collection with me at any given time..

The only problem with using my phone as an MP3 player is battery life, since it can run down pretty quickly over the course of a day of continuous music.
    I might invest in a 2nd battery..

If sony made a 15gb Nw-S706 i'd be so happy!! But alas no, and I'll never get an ipod, the sounds quality compared to this sony is awful, even with a decent set of cans (i use the stock noise cancelling ones on the sony).

It would be great if there was a firmware update to make it drag and dropable though!

However this is a mute point because I will be getting the W960i when it's released which will do me nicely!

I'm happy with my 4GB Nano. I've never needed any more than that and haven't filled it or even come close. Even when 16GB (or whatever) is the standard I don't think I'd fill it up just because I could if I so desired. I never know what to do when there's too much choice... :D

i need atleast 10 gigabyte for music, and 5-10 gigabytes for other random stuff (school projects and similar stuff) crammed into something at the same size of the old apple ipod nano, with good music quality and no need of fugly software as itunes so i can use it whenever computer with usb port without installing crappy programs.
