Let's see I have a few to consider. Laptop 4Gb @ 667 Gaming rig 6Gb @ 1600 Workstation 12Gb @ 1333 Server 128Gb @ no idea
Had 8, but one of my shiny Black Dragon DDR2 1066 modules died on me recently....so running in dual asyncronous mode.
I had to vote 12GB (3x4gb) because there isn't an option for 6x2GB. 12GB (6x2GB) Corsair Dominator 1,600 MHz DDR3
as of recently 6x2gb (which you dont have an option for) overkill really but helps a lot for stuff like mudbox sculpting and bouncing down video from After Effects as well as working with batch files in photoshop. doubt i'll need much in the way of core upgrades for a good 3 years
I'm running 3gb of ddr2, old skool! It would be nice if I'd thought of getting windows7 64 when i had the chance to get it cheap, otherwise I could actually use it all (I have 2 gfx cards and 1gb of graphics memory also) Just thought I'd mention that my configuration is 2x1gb, 2x512mb ocz matched pairs - perhaps worth putting into the poll? Cheers
According to the Steam Monthly Hardware Survey : http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey 3GB is the most popular (just) :
My desktop at home-home (which I only see every few months) has 2x2GB + 2x1GB for 6GB total. Laptop has 2x2GB.
Alright, so I missed 12gb = 6x2gb and 6gb = 2x2gb + 2x1gb and 4gb = 4x1gb. If anyone can edit polls, that would be nice to fix. I also wanted to get somewhat of an idea of how much RAM is running in dual channel versus triple channel. Tried to include all of the dual-channel specific ones (2gb, 4gb, 8gb, 16gb) as well as the triple-channel specific ones (3gb, 18gb, 24gb) as well as the common ones (6gb and 12gb)
8Gb 2x4GB @ 1600MHZ. I only bought it as ram is cheap. My core 2 duo before this was running 2x2 @1066MHZ
